Manifesto On Architecture

This is actually a requirement for one of my subjects but regardless I love blogging and my course so here it goes.
Iam currently on my second year at TIP-QC a transferee from De Lasalle University Dasmariñas(dont ask why I transferred cause seriously its a long story) and this is about my manifesto on Architecture but first let us define Architecture.

"Architecture is both the process and product of planningdesigning and construction. Architectural works, in the material form of buildings, are often perceived as cultural and political symbols and as works of art."(source:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Architecture)

Since I was a kid I've always wanted to become an Architect maybe because I grew up with the profession or in other words My dad is also an architect.
For 10 years now I saw how my dad sleeps late at night just to finish a plan or an estimate or how he gets frustrated at his workers if the clients are not that satisfied with the speed or work done and because of that I realized that being an architect is not that easy it will take a lot of effort, time and patience. Just as what my dad would always say "patience is the key! you cant become a great or even just an Architect without it! think of it, even the small details important sometimes its the most important part of the plan or whatever you're doing".  well Architecture is one crazy world and some people already tried snapping me out of this crazy world but I said "no"  because I've learned to love every little crazy thing about it like designing, drawing, painting and coloring plans, elevations, sections, perspective;on how I go insane thinking of how I can manage this number/amount of space and have consistent and number of sleepless nights.I dont know! dont ask me why! I just love love it!.

Just what I said earlier I am still a student and I am still interested and is learning more and more about my course or profession, and everyday I learn something new from my major or even minor subjects because I know people are still capable of learning new things and of change. Before I have to admit I dont know what I got myself into Ive always thought my passion about drawing would help me graduate in an instant but as time passed by Ive learned that Architecture does not require just the techinal skills but also building or planing a structure needs creativity and functionality suddenly theres a twist on the side Ive also learned that building/planing and designing also requires stability and a budget. I saw and met with one of my dads client who didnt have a budget, my dad had a great time designing the house and he later on called it "my dream house" because everything he always wanted was in that house from the design of stairs, flooring, railings up to the space planning/management of the house.& the client also treated my dad a 1-month trip to California just to help them buy the right furnitures and lightings. I would say my dad was lucky to have met client like that because its one in a million chance/luck since after that we never had a client like that anymore since most of my dads client have a (very)tight budget. But its all about respect besides you can build a house/structure with a great design, stable and that on their budget.

What Ive learned from my mom and dad is that "no matter how irritable the client may be you as an architect and professional person have to adjust you never know that, that one client can change you in a way that he might refer you to a friend and trust you to fix/renovate his/her house in the near future;but dont loose your self or dignity along the way if he's not that being fair or being professional know where to stand and take mature steps or action". Ive lot to learn about this course and with the help of my friends,my family and my professors I hope that when the time comes Ive already become an architect I know what to do and how to manage my profession.
